Pre-Valentine's Day Date

Classes in school ended early today to give way to Teacher's Day celebration. I took the opportunity to go to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to register. I took the Licensure Exam for Teachers almost two years ago but it was only today that I registered. Blame it on my laziness.

After registering, I met up with my co-teachers in TriNoma. We hanged out in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and watched a movie. We watched Valentine's Day because that was the only one that seemed interesting.

Valentine's Day is like Love Actually and He's Just Not That Into You: star-studded cast with different love stories. Among the three, I like Love Actually the best.

The movie is not that bad. It's a typical romantic comedy / chick flick. My favorite in the movie is Jennifer Garner's story because her role is a grade school teacher. Go figure. ^-^

In real life though, I don't have a student who is "in love" with me. I have never been in a relationship with a married man. I also have no romantic relationship with a guy best friend. So her story has no resemblance to mine except for the classroom scene.

One of the things I noticed about her is the clothes she wore.

Photo from JustJared

There's nothing special with what she wore. I just like the fact that her character wears skirt and wedge heels at work. I don't wear a skirt and heels at work because I move around a lot so I need to be dressed comfortably. My students are active first and second graders.

I usually wear slacks or jeans. The shoes I wear are ballet flats, flat sandals or sneakers. To make my outfit look more interesting, I wear accessories like earrings and bracelet. I also wear nail polish which I change every week or when I feel like it. Good thing the school where I work is not that strict when it comes to nail polish. At least I wouldn't look and feel blah everyday. :)

Review: The Face Shop Ceramide Face Mask

Last night, I used a face mask from The Face Shop for the first time.

As soon as I got the face mask out of the package, the essence started to drip on the floor. There's way too much essence. When I put it on my face, this is what it looked like:

Okay. So it's too big for my face. And the essence continues to drip. Tsk, tsk...

After removing the face mask, my face felt softer and smoother. But I don't think I'll use another face mask from The Face Shop again because 1) I don't want essence dripping on my bedroom floor and 2) it's too big for me. Maybe if you have a bigger face than mine, then this face mask would be alright.

Etude House Multi Pouch

I'm totally loving my new cosmetic pouch / kikay kit from Etude House. My old one does not fit my growing beauty needs so I bought a new one. I love the new pouch because it is both functional and pink! ^-^

the outer covering has a satin feel on it

what's inside...
brush compartments

the other side of the pouch
it's actually bigger than what it looks like

the reason why it's called multi-pouch -- detachable

without the detachable pouch

I think that this pouch would not only serve as my cosmetic pouch but as a bag for coffee dates with my friends, errands, or whenever I feel like using it. ^-^

Nail Polish of the Week 2

My nail polish for this week is the one I just bought from The Face Shop a few days ago. It is my first time to use this color. I feel like a teenager with this. ^-^

Base Coat: The Face Shop Nail Base Coat
Nail Polish: The Face Shop YL702
Top Coat: The Face Shop Nail Top Coat

Every time I look at my nails, I feel bright and happy. Hopefully, that's how I will be this week.

Review: Etude House Pearl Extract Face Mask

When I got home last night, I was very excited to use the face mask I bought in eBay. It was my first time to use a mask sheet at home. I seldom try beauty products on my face because the skin on my face is weird. Well, I have a combination skin. Oily on my forehead, dry around the eye area and nose, and normal on my cheeks and chin. It's hard to find a beauty product that will fit my face's needs. But since I've been reading good feedback about face masks, I decided to give them a try.

The face mask that I used was the Etude House Pearl Extract Face Mask sheet.

The face mask has a floral scent. It reminded me of old women's perfume though it was not that strong. It was tolerable.

The mask is not that big. It fits my face.

Pardon my ugly face. ^-^

I felt a bit uncomfortable when I first put on the mask. The essence felt a bit sticky on my fingers though it disappeared soon. So while the mask is on my face, I continued surfing the internet. After 15 to 20 minutes, I removed the mask. I spread the remaining essence on my face and neck. When I looked in the mirror, my forehead looks shiny. But after around 5 minutes, the shine disappeared. My face felt softer and smoother after using this. It also looks bright and lively.

When I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror, my face still looked bright even though I just got up from the bed. My forehead was not oily. The best thing of all, no breakouts. Just a bright and clear face. :)
